Aaron Paragoso
Aaron Paragoso has been providing students with music and piano instruction for 25 years. Mr. Paragoso comes to the Piano Studio with a strong background in music education. He has his Bachelor of Education - Music K-12, using piano as his major and voice as his minor. He is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers with past memberships with MTNA, HMTA, MENC and ACD. Mr. Paragoso is a teacher with the Hawaii Department of Education. He has considerable experience in all aspects of the performing arts including band, opera, choral, dance, musical theatre and professional singing in Waikiki. He currently sings with the Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble.
Teaching piano gives Mr. Paragoso the opportunity to share his love of music, develop future music lovers and supporters of the arts and to teach skills that will be of benefit to children in their future aspirations.
While most of Mr. Aaron Paragoso's students take lessons for self-improvement and enjoyment many have gone on to college to study music. One student has gone on to receive his Ph.D. from the Eastman School of Music.
Mr. Aaron Paragoso teaches students from beginning to advanced. He employs a variety of methods including ear training, sight reading, composition and integrating the Hawaii Content and Performance Standards for Music. His students regularly participate in recitals and workshops to facilitate piano performance and fellowship with his students.
